18 – Bring conscious awareness to self-sabotaging behaviours

When we consciously or unconsciously take action that prevents us from achieving our own accomplishments, we’re self-sabotaging.

We draw on our innate being and our natural skills to protect us when we experience
stress. When we overuse or abuse these stress responses, they become habitual and we draw on them in any situation our brain thinks is similar to the stressful situation.

The good news is that, thanks to the neuroplasticity of our brains, we can bring awareness to sabotaging behaviours and switch them to more (self) empathetic, kind, compassionate responses.
