Or are you so caught up in your to-do list that there is never enough time to do something “crazy” or fun?
As a productive, analytical, hyper-achiever, I live by structure. It’s my comfort blanket. I use it to make sure that I get a LOT done. For me and for others. I’ve been working really hard on staying ninja-focused on the tasks that actually get me a step closer to my vision. But my big struggle is letting go of my to-do list. Trusting that I have done enough to be successful. Understanding that in being me, is enough. And this week it hit me in the face.
And it REALLY HURT.

I was on a group call where we were talking about our personality styles. I wasn’t surprised to be defined as analytical. In fact, I was surprised that my score wasn’t as extreme as I thought it might be. And I would have been more surprised if I hadn’t been an analyser. But it wasn’t that which stung. It resonated with the fact that what Analysers really want is to be seen as fun and free. No-one wants to be labeled boring. Doesn’t everyone want to be fun?
Fun in their own way.
In a way that is aligned with their essence and core values. So I was challenged to do something fun. So after dinner, my husband and I danced in the street. Our daughters loved it. Filmed it. And then they danced in the street with us. It felt wonderful. Liberating. Intimate. I felt more balanced. More truly me!
So stop doing. Find a way. Be you!
